NRBs also played a significant role during our war of Liberation and created world-wide pressure to release Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman alive in 1971. Now is the time to pay tribute to one of the strongest driving force, our pride, the Bangladeshi diaspora dwelling worldwide.

Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRB) and People of Bangladeshi Origin (PBO) throughout the world are proving our nation’s integrity and aptitude. Celebrating the NRB Day (Non-Resident Bangladeshi Day) would be the acknowledgment of their contribution, the connection between their present lives and their roots.
